Our Favorite Furniture from the Lounge

Creating a cocktail room that exudes both retro charm and modern sophistication involves careful selection of furniture and decor. At Armstrong Design Collective, we take pride in curating spaces with pieces that embody style, comfort, and functionality. In our latest lounge project, we've blended mid-century aesthetics with contemporary touches, and we'd love to share some of our favorite pieces that bring this room to life. From tiered side tables to lush loveseats, here's a closer look at the standout items that make our cocktail room a true retreat.

Tiered Side Table

One of the stars of our lounge is the West Elm tiered side table. This piece is a perfect blend of form and function, offering multiple surfaces for placing drinks, books, or decorative items. Its sleek, modern design with clean lines fits seamlessly into our retro-inspired space. The tiered structure adds visual interest, making it not just a practical addition but also a stylish accent that enhances the overall aesthetic.

Lighting is crucial in creating the right ambiance, and the sconces we selected from Amazon do not disappoint. These elegant fixtures cast a warm, inviting glow that adds to the cozy, intimate feel of the lounge. The sconces' design features a mix of modern and vintage elements, with a classic shape updated with contemporary finishes. They are not only functional, providing the perfect lighting for evening gatherings, but also add a touch of glamour to the space.

Rust Loveseat

The loveseat from World Market is arguably the centerpiece of our lounge. Its deep orange hue complements the snakeskin wallpaper beautifully, creating a cohesive and luxurious look. The loveseat's plush upholstery and comfortable seating make it an inviting spot to relax with a cocktail in hand. Its mid-century modern design, characterized by clean lines and tapered legs, adds to the retro charm while providing the comfort and durability needed for modern living.

Glass Coffee Table

Rounding out our favorite pieces is the glass coffee table from Crate and Barrel. This table is a perfect example of how contemporary design can integrate seamlessly with a retro-inspired space. The clear glass top and sleek metal frame give it a light, airy feel, preventing the room from feeling too heavy or cluttered. It provides a functional surface for placing drinks and snacks while maintaining the elegant, sophisticated vibe of the lounge. The minimalist design ensures that it doesn't compete with other statement pieces but rather complements them beautifully.

Each piece we've chosen for our lounge plays a crucial role in creating a space that is both stylish and comfortable. We believe that thoughtful design is about more than just aesthetics—it's about creating spaces that you love to spend time in. These favorite pieces from our lounge are perfect examples of how well-chosen furniture and decor can transform a room into a stylish retreat.
